We’ve often heard from our clients that they wished we offered mechanical services or more opportunities to learn about other aspects of adventure riding. We listened, and we’re pleased to announce that for 2018 we have created a series of extra “opportunities” for you to become more familiar with some of the other important aspects of our sport or have a tire changed, bar risers or a skid plate installed or perhaps a minor repair of some sort.
Mechanical and Tire Services
RawHyde employs a full time BMW certified “master technician” and we now offer a range of mechanical services for students who ride their own motorcycle to RawHyde for Training!
- 1. Tires and tire changing – RawHyde is the importer for a brand of tires called Mitas and if you’d like a fresh set of dual sport tires mounted and installed we carry most popular tires sizes and can accomplish the change in an hour or so.
- 2. Protection installation- We’re pleased to offer AltRider crash bars and skid plates which can be installed before your class.
- 3. Basic repairs – we have a wide inventory of the most common parts that are typically broken or damaged and we can perform a wide variety of basic repairs. Brakes, levers, lighting issues and other types of repairs can be done on an hourly rate basis. Click here for more details.
If you’re interested in tires or any mechanical service, it’s important that you call in advance to schedule the work. Check with our office at 702 209 8503 to schedule!
Early arrival option?
If you’ve decided to have tires or any mechanical work performed on your bike perhaps you’d like to arrive early and extend your time with us. You could look at it like early boarding of an aircraft…first on board, get settled and relax before the rush begins. We offer early arrival accommodations, dinner, breakfast, beverages and a movie for only $99 dollars extra.

Nomenclature Class
How familiar are you with your motorcycle? Today’s motorcycles are increasingly sophisticated and the systems and sub-systems are baffling to some folks. Terms like ESA, Traction Control, ABS, and Enduro Pro can be confusing – let us help you figure out the nuances of all this. Additionally, most motorcycles leave the factory in a “one size fits all” manner and there are many things that you can do to optimize the bike to your size and weight. We touch lightly on some of these things in the weekend class, but this clinic will not only make you intimately familiar with your machine, but will help configure the bike ergonomically so that it fits you perfectly. The price for this clinic is $135.
Navigation Basics
This a GPS and Map translation class geared toward helping folks understand what back country navigation is all about. Many people understand how a GPS works in their car to navigate to a local restaurant or a friend’s house, but few people really understand how to navigate in the back country. This is a 3 hour class that dives into GPS utilization at a deep level and covers all aspects of back country navigation from computer management of routes and tracks to map and compass use as well as useful phone apps that supplement the GPS. The price for this class is $249
Pre-Training Clinic
Thinking about signing up for an off road class? Want a little extra Learning time?? We have learned through our years of experience that many folks (especially new off road riders) would like to dip their toes in the water before jumping into something in which they have no experience. It’s quite normal to have the “jitters” but if you’d like a little extra time to figure things out before the formal class begins you can take advantage of a new program we’ve started called “The pre-training clinic”.
This is a four hour program that begins on Friday afternoon before everyone else arrives. The clinic is geared to ease you into the training program with a little more confidence. The clinic focuses on Balance, Throttle and Clutch control and basic braking. There are several advantages to this – early arrival, extra time on your motorcycle and a very personalized experience to build your confidence before class begins. The clinic size is limited and the price is $349. There is no additional charge for use of a bike if you’re renting for the weekend from us.
